Big news in M-BS

Amrit-Mangat.jpg

John Stewart has the low-down on Mississauga-Brampton South on his blog.

Amrit Mangat (pictured above) for the Liberals.

Masood Khan or Ramdyal Singh for the Conservatives (nomination meeting next Monday).

Karanjit Pandher for the NDP.

Still can't find a Green Party candidate for the area, though the Family Coalition Party has Paul Micelli lined up.

Stephen Wahl:

Mississauga Brampton South Candidates seem to be shaping up nicely and they are pretty snappy dressers as well.

Am I being too crude and rude by pointing out the obvious superficial aspects of these candidates and not looking for their inner qualities? Is it just my misperception of what is happening in Mississauga-Brampton South or is it really just turning into another beauty contest?

Fancy cars, nice cloths, good looks, upwardly mobile, young. You know, we used to have a name for people like that back in the 1980s. Yuppies.
