MISSISSAUGA --One Year Today: Birds of a Feather have noses errummm --beaks for their own

Hey there, Mississauga.

At a meeting last week I was told by someone who'd know that I'd be "surprised" at who's reading my Blog (the "someone" didn't even come off sounding like a threat either).

MAUITIMES82A7CArnx364A8CD.lg

The only reader who'd surprise me is Stephen Harper himself.

And I mean really surprise me because on Stephen Harper's website, it states:

"Prime Minister Harper said Mr. Khan would continue to advise him on the Middle East and Central Asia..."

proving this Blog is of no use to a dude who's amply demonstrated that he has ZERO INTEREST in FACTS when it comes to seeking advice on foreign policy.

It wouldn't surprise me if Finance Minister Jim Flaherty reads this Blog though. YO! Flaherty! You're LUCKY I got more brains than money! Otherwise I'd be flooding you with Freedom of Information forms on your Mike-Harris-role in the 2001 Evil Empire Act!

Speaking of politicians. Today, I'm like, readin' la-dee-dee and I flip to a new page in the Christopher Moore book, "A Dirty Job"

and I go WHOA!...

Page 340:

"Ah Lazarus," said the Emperor, scratching his charge behind the ears, "if we had even half the courage of our small comrade, we would go into that drain and find him. But what are we without him, our courage, our valor? Steady and righteous we may be, my friend, but without courage to risk ourselves for our brother, we are but politicians--blustering whores to rhetoric."

"politicians--blustering whores to rhetoric." Ho BOY, do I wish I wrote that. Still, the second-best thing to writing it is good ol' cut-and-paste and sharing Moore's wisdom all over the Internet.

"...without courage to risk ourselves for our brother, we are but politicians--blustering whores to rhetoric."

None of this is the topic of my Blog today. The topic of my Blog today is a message to all "blustering whores to rhetoric" aka politicians and especially bureaucraps (and yes, I meant that spelling). Oh yeah --and Government SPIN DEPARTMENTS (all three levels!)

You see the other day I got these two weird emails. Someone "goosed" me. I'll share both with you.

YouTube - dcxsucks has subscribed to your videos YouTube Broadcast Yourself™ Hi MISSISSAUGAWATCH ... user adds new videos. So from now on, when you add new public videos, dcxsucks will be notified."

Now it's normally a compliment when someone subscribes to your Blog feed or YouTube videos. But I always-always check a subscriber out --especially someone who's got "sucks" in his nom-de-net.

And gee if soon afterward I didn't get another finger-wave from dcxsucks. Now he wanted to share videos with me!

It took me all of two seconds to check out dcxsucks YouTube site to figure out how I attracted the dude's attentions. He was responding to my videos of Peel Regional Police Dodge Chargers and Mississauga security fake-police car Dodge Chargers.

And hooooooooooooley, when you go to the dcxsucks YouTube site, hoooooooooooooley, it's entirely dedicated to dumping on --well, see for yourself. (CAUTION: Coarse language and who knows what else. Discretion advised.)

How dcxsucks managed to produce videos of exploding Dod... never mind, let's just say the dude has one major unresolved beef with Chrysler.

As memorable as dcxsucks' video productions are, his list of 60 (Sucks) Favourites is some kind of impressive. He even scoured the Internet for Favourites of other car companies beating out Chryslers in all manner of racing competitions!

dcxsucks is so thoroughly into his research that he's even got a Favourite called "Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 oil problems"!

Talk about dedicated! Talk about The-Boy-Can-Play!

Like the dude even has a video of the Brooklyn Fire Department putting out a car fire! (I'd like to think that dcxsucks didn't actually start it)...

I'm not so up on cars that I can tell the make of the burning vehicle but I'd put down $500.00 right now that it's some Chrysler...

I think Dodge Chargers are beautiful. I even going to put dibs on the Mississauga Transit Enforcement "301" Dodge Charger car when it's time for Mississauga to sell it.

Still. For all the dude's passion, commitment, and above all, range --so-thoroughly-hating Chrysler/DodgeChargers, The Mississauga Muse recognized dcxsucks as a "brother".

I suspect that dcxsucks might have been surprised when I accepted his invitation to share videos with him. And perhaps even more surprised when I added him as a Friend on the MISSISSAUGAWATCH YouTube site.

That's the thing about the Internet. I'm free to love the look of Dodge Chargers and dcxsucks is free to dump free-ly. There's freedom and above all, ease of expression on the Net, lacking everywhere else.

dcxsucks even taught me something valuable --yet another way to look at Ontario's-evil-empire municipal world. I just rifled through my Mississauga Public Works (unused) video footage and discovered a close-up of the car hacked-to-pieces by the excellent Mississauga Fire Department Auto Extrication Demo.

It was a 2005 Hyundai Accent!

I bet somewhere, there's the Hyundai equivalent of dcxsucks out there who'd be only too happy to "Favourite" my "Mississauga Fire Department Rescue Demonstration (May, 2008)" as "Mississauga Fire Department Offers Editorial Comment on Hyundai Accent"

And now, a Mississauga Historical Factoid:

Exactly one year ago, June 2, 2007, I added the video Hypocrisy Democracy-- Mississauga to YouTube. It told the story of Mr. Antonio Batista, arrested because The Crown stated that he'd written a Threat-Poem to Mississauga Councillor Pat Saito. What we didn't know then (because the Councillor failed to mention it in her testimony) but we know now, is that Mississauga did not have a public complaints procedure to deal with citizen frustrations regarding unresolved complaints. Onto the video Tra la.

Dedicated to Mr. Antonio Batista. Still thinking of you.

Wherein The Mississauga Muse places a Temporal Stamp

Last week I visited a new municipality and I swear by all that's holy, this is the first time I felt that I won't be getting all I've asked for Freedom of Information for reasons other than what legislation allows. Won't be able to prove it though. I didn't dare use a camera in that place.

Also, for readers, a code word for me to drop down on June 2, 2008. Will explain some other time when I'm not telegraphing who I believe to be an even scarier Big Brother than my Mississauga Big Brother. The code is dch2hdc Yeah, dch2hdc.

Signed,
The (BIGxBROTHERxsucks) Mississauga Muse

Why don't you move to the U.S! If you hate Canada so much

To [Anonymous] (not my other "Anonymous")

Like so many others of your ilk, you don't offer FACTS in response to what I wrote. Just one-sentence crap like "Don't you have anything else to do with your time?" or "Why don't you move to the U.S! If you hate Canada so much".

If you got a problem with what I wrote, have the frikkin' BALLS to debate! Like with FACTS. With ISSUES!

And how can you read what I wrote here and conclude that I hate Canada? Try using the neuron that passes for your brains and point-by-point, list why that neuron that passes for your brains so misfires that it concludes that I hate Canada.

If your inference skills are this caked-with-crap, may I suggest, if your neuron can't read, then it shouldn't try writing!

And to suggest that if I hate Canada that I move to the States.

What? You want to re-locate what you believe to be Canada-haters and load them all up inside Canada's closest neighbour?

HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAA--welllll DUUUUH.

(I haven't seen anything that stupid since my eyeballs read the City of Mississauga Corporate Security 2003 Strategic Draft Plan.)

Signed,
The (I sure hope you're not a public servant...) Mississauga Muse

NOTE TO AMERICANS: Take Heart. It's your good fortune that [Anonymous] is clearly intent on stayin' north of the 49th parallel.
