*MEOW* CAT FIGHT and --Mississauga Transit lures The Mississauga Muse

Hey there Mississauga!

Yeah. I know. It's been a while. What can I say? Busy. Busy. Busy.

Something *shhhhh*SECRET*shhhh* and *shhhhh*CONFIDENTIAL*shhhh* and *shhhhh*IN-CAMERA*shhhh* is afoot inside Mississauga Council. Best of all I got it on video and on YouTube!

People really need to take the time to view this remarkable sustained Passive-Aggressive Verbal MEOW-MIX that Mississauga Councillor Katie Mahoney tossed out at last Wednesday's General Committee meeting.

For a while there, I thought we had the beginnings of yet another Corporate Cat Fight! But it was not to be. (The Other --Mahoney wouldn't say Who- Cat was pickin' her battles). (Good on Ya, Councillor Parrish, a sound strategy!)

OK, some colour commentary to prep you-all for this video. I've listened to it several times now (well, actually I was listening to the "appropriate" Dylan and Fleetwood Mac music I merged "appropriately" with the video to make listening to the Ward 8 councillor remotely sufferable).

Like. MEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, eh?

OK. I have no idea what Mahoney was spitting and spatting about except that it's an "in-camera" report on pink paper. And that she accused "a councillor" of sending off "confidential memos", and keeping her "out of the loop" --and confessed that she was "fed up with the games played around here".

(Mahoney's fed up?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Oh yeah. It was like Survivor Mississauga!

And then Mississauga Council did the Inconceivable --it *gasp* cancelled an in-camera meeting because three councillors would not be attending the session.

I tried to figure out what could possibly be on that pink paper report. HInts are:

1. Mahoney initiated it --it was her idea.

2. It can be re-introduced at the same time next year.

3. It'll be on the agenda for this Wednesday's Council in-camera (secret, behind-closed-doors) meeting. (Can't wait!)

4. Parrish, Carlson and Adams are the holdouts on whatever it is.

5. Corbasson was away the entire meeting and both McFadden and Iannicca made themselves scarce with other business -thus neatly avoiding the Mahoney Meow.

My favourite part in the video is Mahoney saying:

"I've had enough, I really have --playing a lot of games around here. Somehow no one's passing me the ball."

(Boy talk about somethin' totally-ripe for a couple of FOI's!)

If this has anything to do with the Budget decision for the "rebranding" of the dawg-Mississauga Crime Prevention Association spending "$300,000 to go after a Safe City accreditation from the World Health Organization", The Mississauga Muse is cheering-on The Other Cat.

$300,000 -- to BUY a Safe City accreditation?!

Message to the Mississauga Crime Prevention Association "co-founders":

What's the difference between that and me spending $1,000 to buy a PhD in Quantum Mechanics and Particle Physics from the World Wide Web University except $299,000?

Don't you-all do enough of that buying your Financial Awards and your Budget Awards and your World Leadership Awards?

Anyway, here ya go --enjoy. (And for you Ward 3ers, as always, Councillor Maja Prentice is a laff-riot. My sympathies.)

And speaking of Councillor Mahoney, here's video of The Mississauga Muse asking "The Question" that she already knew the answer to...

Speaking of security... on Thursday, I attended the Mississauga Corporate "ALL STAFF 1st Annual 2008 City Showcase tomorrow today" (Yep, that's what they called it) at the Living Arts Centre.

I know I'm not "staff" but then again, the "ALL STAFF 1st Annual 2008 City Showcase tomorrow today" Corporate-elevator-flyer didn't say "CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC" either. So I went. As you might imagine I shot lots of video.

I got lured --yes, "lured", over to the Mississauga Transit display because someone parked the Mississauga Transit Enforcement "302" Dodge Charger between a Mississauga Transit Supervisor Ford Hybrid "Escape" and a 2007 Eldorado bus. That's right --the same Mississauga Transit Enforcement "302" car that I'd been trying to videotape ever since it came back from its fender-crumple.

AND --you ready? MissyTransit had the driver door open on the thing! (Like I said, "lured").

I want to thank the Transit Supervisor for taking so much time to tell me about Mississauga Transit and especially the 2007 Eldorado and the 2008 New Flyer Articulated Bus. If, sir, you ever want to know anything --anything at all, about your "302" Enforcement Dodge Charger, feel free to ask me.

So to end this Blog entry, here's The Mississauga Muse's Walk-In Video of the 2007 Eldorado MissyTransit bus on display (towards the end, the video shows the "302" car out the bus window)
