FLAT STANLEY visits Mississauga Council Meeting! (oh yeah... and that Afterthought --PEEL POVERTY)

FLAT_STANLEY_VISITS_MISSISSAUGA_CITY_COUNCIL

And not only did Flat Stanley sit in on the entire May 28, 2008 Mississauga General Committee Council meeting, he (and I, The Mississauga Muse) witnessed a new Mississauga hooWEE!

Yesterday's Mississauga General Committee meeting lasted exactly 2 minutes 57 seconds ---a MISSISSAUGAWATCH record!

Yes, indeed, and you'll LOVE this.

And what was The Mississauga News doing yesterday, May 28, 2008 09:03 AM when Flat Stanley and I witnessed a 2 minutes 57 second Mississauga Council meeting new time record? (presumably there was nothing to talk about)

Our MissyNews posted "A world of hurt" Part one of a three-part series on Malton, Mississauga's Bastard Child.

Thank you, Mississauga News! And good to see Roy Willis in there! (Hi, Roy! There's a meeting tonight of the Peel Poverty Action Group. Hope you can show up, dude!)

PEEL POVERTY ACTION GROUP MEETING

A reminder to any and all that the Peel Poverty Action Group will meet at Britannia Glen Co-op building at 5995 Glen Erin Dr. It runs from 7-9 p.m. Issues including minimum wage and affordable daycare will be discussed. The Mississauga Muse hopes to see you there --if only for the kids....

Speaking of kids, Flat Stanley managed to slip in (under the Mississauga Chamber doors) without being "staved" off!

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for, The Flat-ster himself...

OH YEAH --REQUESTS

As promised, I videotaped the bus tour during Public Works Family Day but it will take forever to edit/create.

Instead, here's video of the Mississauga Fire Department using duct tape. (And oh yeah, the Jaws of Life.)

You'll NEVER guess where Flat Stanley will show up next! (But what with all the Pelco PTZ's, first I have to get him an over-sized hoodie jacket, sunglasses and an umbrella...)

Signed,
The (I see Donald Barber made the National Post WHOAAAAA! And The Mississauga News!) Mississauga Muse
