IT'S FEBRUARY 2, 2008 AND "BILL 212" IS OFFICIAL!
Not gonna say much about Bill 212 Education Amendment Act (Progressive Discipline and School Safety), 2007 except that it (plus The Peel Youth Violence Prevention Youth Charter hanging on the walls of all public buildings in the Region of Peel) now officially make Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga Youth-friendly communities as --of yesterday.
That's it for today's Blog entry, except that we-here at MISSISSAUGAWATCH still believe (and have all kinds of evidence) that regardless of Bill 2-freakin'-12, this observation by an Ontario Court Judge Jim Paul Nevins (October 4, 2001 report) is not only closer to the truth --IT **IS** THE TRUTH.
"The truth is that we, as a society - all of us - simply don't consider children very important. We talk a good game but we don't think kids are as important as other things, like fixing the roads."
And now a message for Peel Youth --via YouTube from a guy named "Nalts". If you're in a listening mood today and surrounded by adults who aren't... he's got an important message for you.
