I was impressed.
The request for a designation is now back in the paws of the Ontario Liberal Gov`t.

You may notice that I don`t have much respect anymore for politicians.

They know who they are.

Here`s how we level the playing field in Ontario in regards to Bill 132 (known as the "Unicorn" Ban)

Mac's Gang, you're writing to a person whose city hasn't cared enough to even have a legitimate publics complaints process in place. Not just for their Parks and Wreck but also for their security guards.

"rights"? Come on, Mac's Gang. You should see what personal information Mississauga keeps on its private citizens (especially those who are politically active).

If you've been even remotely into a run-in with your local government, you better drop down a Freedom of Information and request what personal information they've recorded about you.

Let me stress that this request for designation must come from every owner of every dog in this province.

If you know a Senior that has a dog, please offer to help them with this, if they need your help.

We`re not talking about those imaginary "special" dogs, we`re talking about ALL dogs in Ontario.

Hey there Mac's Gang. Good to see you drop by again. I used to get crabby when people used the term "FIBERALS" what with me being a small-l liberal.

Now, that I've been paying attention to politics (municipal and provincial) I think you're being too kind calling them "Fiberals".

But why quibble with wording.

Mac's Gang, as I said before, I'm researching both municipal and provincial governance --particularly how the two interact --symbiotic relationship.

If we, as citizens really mattered to our local government and The Province, there'd be significant evidence of that.

We'd see that "mattering" right there in the provincial acts and in our cities' by-laws.

I don't see it.

The TakeHome Message I got even at the "Our Future Mississauga Visioning Symposium" was "YOU MATTER IF YOU HAVE $$$$."

Repeat. "YOU MATTER IF YOU HAVE $$$$." Beginning, Middle --and End, of Story.

Municipal governments (at least in Ontario) operate on one exclusive level. MINIMIZE LIABILITY.

What's "right". What's "good" --doesn't factor in.

Municipal governments have so Massaged the Message, most people have zero idea of what's going on.

I laugh at the City inviting Youth to a "Conversation for the 21st Century".

Think about it. Youth having a say. There's FAR TOO MANY ADULTS who don't have a say.

I'm here (like, here, here --Blogging) not because I can change anything. I'm "here" to bear witness.

I'm NOT going to let THEM write their "history".
