This- is Mississauga.
Apologies for no Blog yesterday. Life happened...
Had every intention of writing more about the "Antonio Batista Death-by-Poetry Trial". But then I received an email from a reader (thanks, Bright Snoop).
Here's the email --a two line message and a link to a news article:

So naturally, I followed the link and saw:

Love this part:
"But many psychics want the city to go a step further - make sure they're actually qualified to predict the future."
The Salem News story that Bright Snoop so kindly shared makes me smile but me view that as "crazy"? I don't consider a city council making sure that fortune tellers are actually qualified to predict the future before they are licensed to be "crazy" at all.
Please. Allow me -- City of Mississauga "Conversation With The Community: Mississauga Begins Vision Process For Next 40 Years" presented on June 6, 2007 at the University of Toronto (Mississauga).
This "Conversation With The Community" is, according to the mississauga.ca blurb:
"one of the largest community engagement initiatives undertaken by the City which will fully involve residents, stakeholders and City staff in forming a new strategic plan for the future Mississauga. "
Here, also from mississauga.ca is how they will achieve this (check out orange balloon).

A "Community Engagement Visioning Charrette"...
What with Mississauga's demographics 46.8% classified as "Foreign-born population (immigrants*)", The Corporation will hold a "Conversation with the Community" using a "Community Engagement Visioning Charrette".
"Community Involvement Visioning Charrette"...
Returning to reader, Bright Snoop's question, "You think our council is crazy?"
I've developed a theory about "CrRaaaAazZy, Bright Snoop."
Crazy. It's what they drive you.
Signed,
The (I can't believe "Community Involvement Visioning Charrette") Mississauga Muse
